Indications
Estradiol benzoate synchronizes the emergence of ovarian follicles and ovulation.
Its use, as is the case with other hormones, is part of the reproductive biotechnology that is now available to improve parturition levels and, as a result, increase bovine meat and milk production.
Estradiol benzoate should be administered according to the synchronization protocol selected by the veterinarian in charge.
Dosage
Option no.1: Cows and heifers
Day 0: Insert the intravaginal device containing progesterone. Inject 2 mL of Estradiol Benzoate SYNKRO XY.
Day 8: Withdraw the device and inject 2 ml of prostaglandin (D(+)Cloprostenol sodium SYNKRO XY).
Day 9: Inject 1 ml of Estradiol Benzoate SYNKRO XY (1 mg) to synchronize ovulation.
Day 10: Proceed with the FTAI after 52-56 hours after administration of prostaglandin (D+Cloprostenol sodium SYNKRO XY).
Option no.2: Cows and heifers
Day 0: Insert the intravaginal device containing progesterone. Inject 2 mL of Estradiol Benzoate SYNKRO XY.
Day 8: Withdraw the device and inject 2 ml of prostaglandin (D(+)Cloprostenol sodium SYNKRO XY) + 1 ml of Estradiol cypionate SYNKRO XY to synchronize the follicular wave.
Day 10: Proceed with the FTAI after 52-56 hours after administration of prostaglandin (D+Cloprostenol sodium SYNKRO XY).
Option no.3: Lactating cows
Day 0: Insert the intravaginal device containing progesterone. Inject 2 mL of Estradiol Benzoate SYNKRO XY.
Day 7: Withdraw the device and inject 2 ml of prostaglandin (D(+)Cloprostenol sodium SYNKRO XY)Day 9: Administer a GnRh analog, i.e. 5 ml of Buserelin Acetate SYNKRO XY.
Proceed with the FTAI 12 hours after administration of GnRH.
Option no.4: Heifers
Day 0: Insert the intravaginal device containing progesterone. Inject 2 mL of Estradiol Benzoate SYNKRO XY.
Day 8: Withdraw the device and inject 1 ml of prostaglandin (D(+)Cloprostenol sodium SYNKRO XY).
Day 9: Inject 1 mL of Estradiol Benzoate SYNKRO XY.
Day 10: Proceed with the FTAI after 52-56 hours from device withdrawal.
